You are missing one word Jason....LOVE.Replace the word "lie" for another evil (when you say that).
Put in the word "rape" or "murder" or "drunkenness."
In other words, the ends do not justify the means.

Jesus says if you love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).

So, picking up manna off of the ground is labor intensive, but to carry a bed is not?In John 5:8, Jesus command to the man to take up his mat to walk was not a command to work. Walking and carrying things for non labor reasons is not a break of the Sabbath.
You really do not understand the commands of the Sabbath in the Old Testament.
Please show me in the OT where carrying something for non-laborous reasons is considered breaking the Sabbath.
