And my daugher, Army 10 years, gives birth next month and is going to Iraq in December. Am I scared? Oh yeah...

The insurgents, made of Iranian and Syrian foreigners will end when a neutron bomb is dropped on Tehran and Damascus. Problem solved. Cures Iran's nuclear ambitions too.Sycophant said:"We can't kill them all," Wellman said. "When I kill one I create three."
I've been saying this since the beginning - I can't believe people don't understand this fact.

Statements like this lead me to conclude that you occasionaly like to charge toll from under a bridge. Is this the official position of the Global Society of Pinheads?Zippythepinhead said:The insurgents, made of Iranian and Syrian foreigners will end when a neutron bomb is dropped on Tehran and Damascus. I think the insurgents just need to be throroughly discredited. Seems more and more often they are helping us do that. We're going to be over there expensively for several more years at least, though.neverforsaken said:perhaps covert warfare. against any force in combat, the US military is a powerful force. But in the current situation where the enemy doesnt wear a uniform and uses children and the mentally disabled to blow up targets. this should be a war of intelligence, covert assassinations, silent infiltration. The main recruiting force for the terrorists is the occupation. they dont think we will leave. so they join up, but their joining up is making it hard for us to leave. We should leave a few thousand troops in reserve in Iraq at a permanent military installation. As well as a some intelligence cells to take out the enemies covertly. This is a war of ideals right? so we must defeat them mentally.
Sycophant said:Yes, and then you'll have made "terrorists" of the rest of the Islamic and Arab world, and probably a fair few others as well.
People don't become terrorists because they think it's fun. They do it because they believe they are fighting an injustice. Killing people is just bringing the fight to more families who may otherwise have remained uninvolved.
cameronw said:Oh yes terrorist are killing innocent people because of the injustice the U.S. has done. Your argument is flawed.

Then drop more neutron bombs on the entire Middle East. They will eventually surrender or die. You don't coddle your enemies and try to reason with them if they want to kill you. You kill them first. First rule of warfare as ugly as it isSycophant said:Yes, and then you'll have made "terrorists" of the rest of the Islamic and Arab world, and probably a fair few others as well.

ScottishJohn said:Actually I think his argument is dead on. Where do you see the flaw - if there is one would you explain it to us as I know of many historical situations which would provoke quite reasonable people to resort to acts of terrorism.
