When God Calls You

When God calls you to obey Him,
Do His will, and not betray Him,
Count the cost, ‘twill not be easy,
Not for fun, and not be breezy.

Not for you, and not for pleasure,
Not so you lay up your treasures,
But so you obey Him freely,
Do His will and not what’s feely.

Go with Him where’re He leads you,
Share with others what He feeds you,
Share the gospel message clearly,
Do all that He says, not nearly.

Persecution what awaits you,
Lies against you, they’ll reject you,
You’ll not fit within their limits,
They’ll not understand your visits.

Flesh of nature thinks of pleasure,
Does not look to God for measure,
Lay up on the earth their treasures,
Time is spent in worldly leisure.

Immature and self-indulgent,
Think of self, and not to solve it,
So the message of the gospel,
They reject it, they are hostile.

Don’t be fearful of their treatment,
Faith in God be in agreement,
Follow Him where’re He leads you,
Do His will and to Him be true.

Faith in Jesus pray that they’ll do,
Turn from their sins, obey Him through,
Follow Him where’re He leads them,
Live for Jesus. Say an Amen!
