when does the 2cd trimester start?

I should know this, but I'm not quite sure, does the 2cd trimester start at 12 weeks, or 16 weeks?

I'll be 10 weeks this next Wednesday, it's sort of going by fast, I'm glad.

It's not just a day on the calendar, but also when most women are free of morning sickness and the draining tiredness that is characteristic of early pregnancy. It's the point where the placenta is fully operational.

awwww, major bummer. I thought it was 12 (which I am). Oh well, I'll just celebrate all over again in two weeks!

The first trimester lasts through week 13, week 14 starts trimester 2. My morning sickness really, really died down in trimester 2. I still got sick but not NEAR as often.

I always thought it was at 13 weeks but i guess the start of 14 weeks makes sense.
