Why would He return on Pentecost? Shavout has already been fulfilled when the Holy Spirit fell.

He is going to return on the Feast of Trumpets, as a fulfillment of Yom T'ruah... and the beginning of the unfulfilled Fall Feasts.

As far as in the physical we are moving to a cashless society and closer to a one world monetary system. Plans through the UN proceed towards regionalization of countries into a grouping, look at NAFTA, the EU, miltary pacts such as NATO etc. Political alignments are also starting to shape up as now Russia backs Iran, look at Ezekiel 38 to see this for end times, there is much out there. Superbugs resistant to any sort of treatment,plaugues. famine we have but do you remember mad cow disease? Our food supply is tainted it seems. How about genetic engineering? Anyone know what effect that might have on our food long term? Then we come to global warming, dont know if true or not but does fit nicely with men being burned by the sun. And there is much more as well. This is just something to think about.

You're right. Not even Jesus knows the day or the hour. So, to be safe, if I were going to guess, I would say within the 10-15 million years give or take a billion years or so. I really don't want to to pretend to know more than Jesus, so I will try to live each day as though it could be the last, and leave the determination of the when to God.

Ditto. It will ever amaze me why the interest in knowing when? Hint: OUR LORD DOES NOT KNOW THE DATE!!!

Point is we must be ready, whenever it is.

"But when the Son of Man returns, will he find faith?" - or will He find us recording the date in our planners?

It is a pure waste of time to speculate as to when it will be because we simply don't know. And undue speculation, IMHO, takes us away from our primary task and purpose - serving Him and those who are His.

But if you want a date, if you need a date - I have it on good authority that this is the definitive, REAL, actual, and true date of His return: January 12, 2012; 14:20 hours (CST).

The weather will be cold in the northeast and the western states. There will be sunshine at most spots on the equator. Democrats will be seeking tax increases, Republicans will be wondering how to regain congress. Snow will be falling in Provo, Denver, and Fargo. But, I could be wrong - I usually am. (Denver gets most snow in March and April.)

(That was a joke, btw - the actual date is sometime before after that, with a slight chance of it actually being accurate +/- any number of centuries, years, months, days, hours, and / or minutes).

When: late 21st centery

Reason: the rate we all are distroying the world we will force God to come sooner

We don't "force" God to do anything. He does things according to His perfect will and ways, foreseeing everything and working everything together towards His final plan. God is will do what He wants, when He wants. We are suppose to stay busy doing His will until the show closes down.

The period of time from the Cross until now is the 'last days'. It could be today or next week or a hundred years from now, we simply dont know. The point is we should live like it could be any day now. As was mentioned earlier, every generation for the last 2000 years had those that believed all the prophetic signs were in place for the second coming. Today is no different.

PS Matthew 24 refers to the destuction of Jerusalem in 70AD and the events at that time, only from verses 35-36 does the end of the world come into discussion.
