When do you read your mail?

I was wondering what everyone's answer was to this ridicules question the other day while I was looking at the mail on the street.

ALSO, when I say "read at the mailbox" I mean look at all your mail (who it's from) and maybe open one or two letters.

I bring the pile in and sort through it..."Bill, bill, bill, postcard from friend in Hawaii!, junk mail, junk mail, bill, bill"...and so on.
Bills get tossed in a pile until the weekend, personal letters get read immediately and junk mail is junked.

when I happen to actually check the mail, if I read it at the mailbox I'll get run over mailbox is on other side of road. But I hardly get to check the mail, seeing as I'm alseep when it runs. For those wondering why I'm alseep around 11 noon is because I work third shift

I read my occasional piece of mail eitehr on the sofa or in my room.

I guess it depends on who its from or what type of mail it is. if i am waiting for it its open at the mail box other wise back to the house to be sorted :S

It depends... If I am walking back to my room.. then on the way... If I am driving... when I get back to my room.

When I get back inside. Only ocassionally have I ever opened a letter outside only because I was expecting something special.

For me it depends on how interesting the mail actually is. In general, I'll look over the mail as I'm walking back towards the house, and if it's something important I will start reading it right then and there. I don't think I've ever actually stood by the mailbox and read through anything long, but if it's a postcard or something similar, then, of course...
