When did disney start supporting gays?

I heard disney supports gays. When did this start?

What do you mean by "supporting gays?"

They started offering health insurance benefits to partners of gay employees some time in the early 90's, if not sooner.

I don't know when they started having "Gay Days" at Walt Disney World, but let me assure you that these are neither planned nor sanctioned by Disney. They're completely done by the gay community.

Ever since Walt died there has been a HUGE difference in the Disney Corp.

The only weddings they do at Walt Disney World are consistent with Florida law, so if Florida doesn't allow gay marriage (not sure if they do or not), then WDW doesn't allow it.

I don't think you're supporting sin by supporting Disney. For one thing, the organizations that initially called for a Disney boycott called off their boycotts several years ago. For another, the calls for a boycott were a knee-jerk reaction to a perceived "gay-friendly" culture at Disney, when in fact their policies toward gays are no more "gay-friendly" and no less "gay-friendly" than any other California-based corporation.

If you only want to support businesses that don't have any policies that you don't like, I suggest you become Amish and get everything you need from other Amish people. Otherwise, just about any company you buy anything from is going to "support sin," depending on how you want to define it.

Look at it this way: Chik-fil-A, arguably the most "Christian" company out there, undoubtedly employs gays, since they cannot, by law, refuse to hire gays. Are you "supporting sin" by buying from Chik-fil-A?

Disney has made alot of changes since the death of W.Disney.
They made some concessions for their artists and their politics.
In most Disney films, there is a gay role. Some prominent some secondary.

If this counts as supporting gays, I guess they do.

That's a bad example.
Doing something because the law tells you to do it is totally different than doing something because you support it.

I don't know what gay people have ever done to you, but could you please stop harassing them now?! Just because their lifestyle is not to your liking it gives you no right to keep attacking them in this way!!

Stop trying to make me look like an anti-gay just by me asking somthing is an anti-gay agenda? And how is asking someone if a compony support somthing harassing anyone? stop playing borad police and find somthing better to do.
