  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hmm... tough question... i loved the music in the phantom of the opera... andrew loyd webber is amazing...

non-musical soundtrack would have to be... the matrix reloaded i guess... they're aren't really that many great ones... i really wanna hear the one for freddy vs jason though... that looked like a killer line up.

easy,

Thicker than water

it's a surfing film. the soundtrack is mostly jack johnson and similar surfer artists. glove, and some other cool people are on there. you can find it at most stores under the artist Jack Johnson. I almost like it more than jack's cd's, because each song is unique, and on jack's records, some of the songs have the same feel.

seriously, if you like jack, go buy Thicker than Water.

Sounds pretty good. I will add it to my list.

I was about to say that I dont even own any music soundtracks but then I realised I had Romeo and Juliet (a gift) and O Brother Where Art Thou. But O Brother would be my favourite movie soundtrack since they aren't really something I would buy. Having said that if I were to buy any I would go for: Lost In Translation, Morvern Caller, The Virgin Suicides and possibly Trainspotting.

Best soundtrack to listen to by itself would be Almost Famous. Best use of music in a movie (to enhance the feel) would be 28 Days Later.

I should also mention both Kill Bill movies and Pulp Fiction, since Tarantino has a knack for finding strange, obscure music and making it work perfectly.

The soundtracks for either Rushmore or Royal Tennenbaums, which aside from a good selection of music, also have compositions by Mark Mothersbaugh which are simply infectious.

I love Wes Anderson's films! Good soundtracks too.
