Do you have to be so insulting as to call our faith a myth or are you just bitter. Jesus can help that you know?
Asking in the interest of knowledge and fair treatment, what do you
as a person think would be a neutral, objective term? "Story?" "Path?"
"Mythos?" "Mythology?" Calling it the "One True Path" is a very subjective
term based out of the Christian faith, which says it is, versus the Jewish
path, which would say it isn't. Dictionary.com defines "myth" as:

"A traditional, typically ancient story dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors, or heroes that serves as a fundamental type in the worldview of a people, as by explaining aspects of the natural world or delineating the psychology, customs, or ideals of society"

The texts of the Christian bible speak of God, demons, angels, ancestries,
role models, veterans, leaders and laws. Calling something a myth does
not automatically make it fiction.

I understand if, as a Christian, you can't hold your collection of writings and
revelations as anything less than the Word of God and not "myth" at all. But
surely an accord can be reached on a term both sides can agree on.

How about just the teachings of Jesus?

*sigh* .... Did you not read my previous post???

Ok, once again....as I stated earlier:

I dont mean "myth" in a negative way or to say that its false but rather a story that is considered true in a literal or metaphoric sense by someone.
