Hi all!

I'm rather superstitious about some things; thus, I'd prefer not to answer your question. Although, I pray that He blesses me with a long, happy life in which I can serve Him and do good in the world, I know that when God decides that my time is up, my time will be up. Since this matter is exclusively in His hands, I am content to leave it at that & not speculate.

Verse #48 of Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat (FitzGerald translation, 1st edition) says:

While the Rose blows along the River Brink,
With old Khayyam the Ruby Vintage drink:
And when the Angel with his darker Draught
Draws up to thee--take that, and do not shrink.

I like the last two lines.

Be well!

What is the one way you don't want to die???

I do NOT want to die drowning!!!

Drowning is supposed to be a good way to die I've heard.

I... would.. not have like to die during a torture session :)

Just thinking about that people actually have done/do torture makes me deeply troubled.

How about those under the nail methods ?

You mean being nailed to the cross like Jesus? Oh, man. That would be horrible! Then again, what are the odds. That's not really a popular method of execution these days. As a matter of fact, I don't think anyone has died that way for many centuries now; correct me if I'm wrong.

Drowning is actually a very painful way to die.  It's very slow and your lungs will burn once you get deprived of enough air.  Being frozen to death is supposed a very peaceful way to die.  Once you get over the intial coldness, it just becomes this stupor.  Emily Dickinson wrote a poem about it once...

Being burried alive and not being able to get out, so you're just stuck their suffocating in your own grave.

Well, that wouldn't be my fate anyway, since I don't plan to take up precious space while I'm dead. Organ donations, and then burn me to a fine crisp, baby. Graveyards are for the living, not the dead.

Any sort of torture method would be pretty bad, too. A slow (painful), lonely death is surely the worst.
