What's your garden like at this time of year?

That's true Dave.:) Too late to do anything tonight, but I'll keep an eye on the forecast. I must have a session in the garden to clear away the leaves, and generally tidy up before winter, so I may do the pots at the same time. :)

Those decomposing leaves may help keep the pots warm

We could be subject to a winter similar, to this one

That's an idea Dave. I haven't had to do it yet, because the temperatures have got milder here. We had strong winds a few days ago though, which blew some neighbours' pots over.

I hope we don't have snow, but I love to see it. Those were great photos. :)

These star-filled nights are warning enough (for me) of snap frosts to come

I have my strawberries off of the ground and covered (not the hanging baskets)
Most of our other plants are established perrennials, and have, a degree of
winter protection, in that they go dormant until Spring

re: photos ...... :)
yes we had quite a falling that year

Had a quick look on your profile, Daughter of His, to find your location and therefore weather at this time of year, and burst out laughing! :D It sounds like you are still having mild weather and that your garden is very colourful at the moment.

I've put my pots together at last, so the patio is looking bare, but with the short days it doesn't really matter. The antirrhinum is still flowering, but most other things are finished now. I'm hoping the evergreen bushes will provide foliage for me to do some Christmas decorations with them nearer the time.

Our garden must await 'better weather' I had such plans for it last Summer
and the many things that have become obstructions to my moving ahead, with that
means that materials are left lying around 'in the elements'
and in any case, until my back recovers from a recent injury
