well when i was in sydney it took me 5 days to pick up the aussie accent but im all english again now. I could teach u some lancashire slang if u like tho thats northen england

I've never heard the expression "milking the lizards" or "starving the lizards".

I mustn't be a very good aussie.

Every Australian has heard starve the lizards. I heard it as a kid. Never heard of milking lizards though. Starve the lizards is an expression used in the country in Australia. City Australians are not the same as country Australians. They have a broader Australian accent too.

Yes we do have a broader Australian accent Terisita. And, to hear all of those expressions is common day language to us.
Starve the lizards and stone the crows! I thought everyone would know that!

Living in the city doesn't make me any less Australian than you are.
