Hello,

In another thread I found a site linked by 9Harmony and took the quiz. I'm just curious as to what everyone's results were.

http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html

Also, some of the questions are obvious in what they would portray you as, so if you take it, take it in the mindset that you are of NO religion. I took it in the mindset that I didn't know of ANY religion, and IF I believed in God, what I think would be right.

Here's my results (first five and other major religions):

1. Reform Judaism (100%) 2. Bahá'í Faith (87%) 3. Liberal Quakers (84%) 4. Sikhism (83%) 5. Orthodox Judaism (79%)

7. Islam (77%)
13. Mahayana Buddhism (54%)
20. Hinduism (40%)
22. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (38%)

26. Eastern Orthodox (25%) 27. Roman Catholic (25%)

Judaism is really high, heh. And Liberal Quakers? ^_^

I always get "Liberal to Mainline Protestant" first.

1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (80%)
3. Liberal Quakers (78%)
4. Orthodox Quaker (75%)
5. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (70%)
6. Reform Judaism (65%)
7. Eastern Orthodox (65%)
8. Roman Catholic (65%)
9. Seventh Day Adventist (61%)
10. Neo-Pagan (59%)

My neo-pagan score's gone down. I used to have Mahayan Buddhist and New-Age scores around 70. Seventh Day Adventist, Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox jumped over an amazing 40%. Reform Judaism has gone down, and thankfully, I'm now less than 50% Scientologist (I wanna be a malfunctioning thetan!)

Muslim, Mormon, and Jehovah's Witness have gone done.

This is odd, because I'm more ready to joke about myself as a "Reform Mithraic Jew with Neo-Platonic tendencies" than when I had higher Neo-Pagan, Jewish, and New-Age scores.

I've been reading about Quakers heh. Interesting. They're up their on our lists lol.

Yeah, I don't really know much about Quakers or what the difference is between a liberal and an orthodox Quaker. I guess the movie "Friendly Persuasion" pretty much sums up all I know about Quakers. :D Guess I will have to see what I can learn.

The main difference between liberal and orthodox Quaker on this test, as far as I can see, is non-violence.

Orthodox Quakers are pacifists, Liberal Quakers allow some violence, on tihs quiz.

So does it mean that when some Orthodox Quakers commit's some violence than they are being Liberal Quaker, and when Liberal Quaker becomes passive than he has become an orthodox quaker.

Do they have to go to specific churches to be either?

They're both Quaker, it's like this though.

Orthodox Quakers won't join armies and stuff.

Liberal Quakers aren't going to bomb women and children without a good reason that would make other mild-mannered people bomb stuff.

Really, it's more Liberal Quakers are "normal", Orthodox Quakers are pacifists.

Given that I am an atheist, I am surprised that my non-theist score would be ranked below Liberal Protestant or Liberal Quaker.

Funny. My manager is a Seventh Day Adventist, and while I wouldn't exactly call him a friend, we do have a lot in common. We certainly both value honesty extremely highly, and that is probably the reason we can work so well together.
