(From someone who lives where there is no snow)... what's the ski patrol? Is it to find and rescue people in trouble?
The NSP is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting safety in skiing and other outdoor winter sports. Patrols are typically associated with a ski area, and its 27,000+ members provide first aid and rescue services to those on the hill, as well as avalanche control. We're the guys in the red coats with white crosses.

Doesn't he have the distinction of playing the single greatest move ever in a game? (... Q-N6)?

Just for kicks, I'd like to create a thread where we can explain our areas of expertise and maybe lighten things up a bit.

This thread can also serve as a reference tool.

I'll start:

My areas of expertise are Creationism and the Flood.

I also enjoy talking about the dispensations and basic doctrine.

I like to salt my posts with Scripture whenever possible, and I like to emphasize miracles as interruptions to nature.

Your turn. :)

If you really want to know what my interests and qualifications are, you're welcome to go to my information page.

Thanks.

I did carpentry, electrical, drywall and plumbing. I specialized in remodeling and renovation but I did a lot of repair work. People liked to hire me because I would do the whole job. If for example they had a broken pipe I would fix the pipe and repair the damage. That saved them from having to hire two different people to do the job. I remember a job where the dining room ceiling was on the dining room table. I charged about $300 and I did my best to repair the ceiling so it looked like I had never been there and it had never been repaired. In general you have to do work as good or better then the people that built the house and most builders do not have a very high standard.

Tks, I learned a lot from the WW2 Vets. They use to joke often about how they could fix anything with bailing wire and duct tape. After the war they worked to salvage what they could and rebuild the world that had seen so much destruction during the war. One of the reasons for the immunization program for children is that so many people died in the war so they wanted to see as many children live as what they had control over. So they worked hard to eliminate childhood diseases.

Assuming we are talking CF expertise or the like, none. I just jump in where I do, and hope for the best. There tend to be areas I jump into more than others.

General expertise?, kind of the same thing...Jack of all trades, master of few, and will jump into about anything, and hope for the best.

Jack of all trades who likes to jump and hope for the best?

You know you are old when the candles cover the top of your cake. Simple solution - have a bigger cake

Or don't put all those candles on the cake (my last cake had five sparklers, on my 77th b'day). My daughter said she would have put the proper number of candles on but didn't want to risk burning the house down. o_O

That song was painful.

And why jump off a perfectly stable building?

How else are you going to get a good footing?

Bout the song

But he never went off tune! Perfect pitch!

Sounds like an instructional song at a police academy for a field sobriety test!

One that guarantees that the suspect will definitely fail and get arrested.

Actually I really do have no areas of expertise - related to the topics discussed in these forums anyway. All I have is common sense and google, and apparently even they can't be trusted.
I find that Google can be trusted far more than my common sense.
