• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

well everyone here i am again! where are all my friends? dont seem to get any phone calls these days, part from sale ones. cant remember the last time somebody asked if they could come and see me, im not talking about coming because of things to do with church, but coming to see me, because they wanted to spend time with me. yes i belong to a church, but wouldnt it be wonderful if it was like the days in Acts where everybody was going in and out to each others houses. but its not like that. me and my other half live quite an isolated exsistence. yes we go to church meetings and groups but part from that there is NOTHING.. :( we do try with people.Sorry i know im writing this to get attention again, please pray for us, ive had enough today.love you guys so much  xx

This might sound like a stupid suggestion but why don't you try inviting someone over yourself. If they come and have a nice time even if it is just for coffe or something like that then they are more likly to want to spend more time with you. It is hard but sometimes we have to put alot of effort into something before we get anything back if you know what I mean...

I was about to suggest the same thing. I know it can be an effort, but keep it simple and you will probably enjoy it.

I can feel very isolated too and I have to do things like this when I feel I can cope with it.

Please let us know how you get on.

Blessings

"My heart is not proud, O Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderous for me. I have stilled & quieted my soul; like a weaned child with its mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me" (Psalm 131:1,2)

I find that when I find contentment in Jesus, I am happy whether I am with people or without. When I do not find contentment in Jesus, it doesn't matter how many people I am with.

It has been my experience that longing for the company of another is a sign that I have lost company with God through the Holy Spirit.

I will pray that you find the cause of your discontent.

Maybe you all could invite another couple from your church out to each after church. My wife use to do that all the time at the last church we were at. She would call the other couple and set up a lunch with them after church a few days ahead of time.
Or just plan something with another couple. I know we don't do that enough either.
