  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I watched this video, and I just can't for the life of me figure out the error in her logic... or maybe she really has scientifically explained homoeopathy!
Once a person gets a disease, he has 'kooties' inside of him wrecking havoc.

Those 'kooties' are units of MC[sup]2[/sup].

To take a solution and dilute it down and sprinkle it with powder and whatnot, encapsulate it, then give it to this person as a remedy for his 'kooties' does not make sense.

These solutions would have to have enough energy in them to combat these 'kooties', and something with that much energy would have to exist as mass in and of itself; would it not?

She's suggesting put out a forest fire by spitting on it.

Her discussion of mass/energy equivalence is irrelevant to medicine. Yes, subatomic particles can be converted into energy, but that has nothing to do with disease. Illness exists at the level of proteins, nucleic acids, and other complex organic molecules--many orders of magnitude above nuclear phenomena. Example: She mentioned diabetes. Type 2 diabetes (the most common) is thought to result from a derangement in the insulin receptor. This is a protein on the surface of muscle, fat, and other cells that binds insulin onto the cells. This binding stimulates chemical changes inside the cell which result in glucose being metabolized. A malfunctioning insulin receptor means the cells don't utilize glucose properly. The fundamental cause (as best we believe) is a structural defect in the receptor protein itself. "Activated" water (whatever that is) will not corrrect it. And discussions of nuclear physics, and "energy" are totally spurious, misleading, and immaterial.

She jumps from the molecular structure of water to General Relativity, to hypercondensed matter. And this in the time lapse of one minute. Hmmm, I think she will score very high in
The Crackpot Index:
Crackpot index
at least:
5 point starting credit.
3 points for every statement that is logically inconsistent.
5 points for each mention of "Einstien", "Hawkins" or "Feynmann".
10 points for each favorable comparison of yourself to Einstein, or claim that special or general relativity are fundamentally misguided (without good evidence).
20 points for talking about how great your theory is, but never actually explaining it.

I got as far as the part where she had compressed all the mass in the universe into a sphere the size of a bowling ball, so that we could disregard mass in the equation E=mc^2, at which point my brain threatened to implode and I had to stop watching.

We can "almost" cross out mass in physics equations? I guess she wouldn't mind me hitting her over the head with a warhammer. I swear, I'd use the same exact velocity as I would to hit her over the head with a feather. According to her, the difference should be negligible.
