What's with some App Store age rating changes?

I recently played some game on the App Store that was rated 12+. Okay, well later I deleted it, and a few months later I come across it again and decided to download it again. But I stopped because I noticed that the game is now 17+. I figured they must have put new stuff in it recently, but no. Same game, wasn't updated. Yet suddenly it's now 17+. Ummm WHYYY? This occurred with a lot of other apps too. Why is this happening?

Also, what if I tried to download it again? Would it know I'm not 17 and say "NOPE can't have it"? Or is the age rating just a general warning?

Age rating is a general warning. Be careful what you download these days. Not only is it a danger to you but to your computer as well. Much mischief on the Internet these days that will blue screen a computer.

It could also be the rating scheme and standards have changed. That would explain why the game is the same and the rating changed. I agree with rocky, be careful....

Age warning is just a general warning. Its not law enforced. If you feel God is telling you not to play, by all means, don't play. Paul tells us not to judge you for that

Trust me, I know there's a lot of garbage like porn. I don't look for that. But I do want to play that game again, I just don't want my account to be frozen or something. I do have permission to play it will something like that happen if I download it/try to download it?

They should be rating facebook 17+ While they're at it...

Well its good you don't look for garbage. Just make sure garbage is really all garbage! And I agree watch out with what you download.
So your parents agreed with you playing it well it'll be okay to play then

Look around on Facebook. I'm not just talking about how little kids shouldn't e on there. Lots of bad things there.

Anyway, please someone tell me if something will happen if I try to download this thing? I don't want apple to freeze my account or something.
