I have Fan FULL-BLAST, here in the living room
Mary has another on in the kitchen while she is cooking Tea
Chicken Burgers and Chips [fries] I'm sure she said

It is really hot here

I am just back from Joyce's....
apparently, she has had no visitors all all today [save for my visit earlier]
it seems she needs some 'company' ... but, as Mary was setting up this meal
I couldn't delay there, having ensured that there was no-'emergency'
and wiped 6 more calls from the answering-machine, when I got indoors

HOT here too (for the UK anyway). I like it in some ways - great for getting washing dry and looks cheerful, but I want to sleep!!! .

Hope you're coping okay Dave. I think we're having it a bit cooler than you; further SE toward the Pennines, but it's still roasting.

Local weather reports are calling temps' for this area 4.C lower than we are seeing
We have a thermometer in full sunshine [after 1pm]
and another in the shade [for air temperature]
We disagree the weather reports for Manchester [it could be different in Central Manchester]

I slept for a couple of hours on the settee this afternoon
So, I agree re: how tiring it can be

I get out in the sun, only for essential trips [shopping/ visit Joyce]
so, no sunburn /heat stroke here

Wow. I was looking at the Weather charts this morning at 04:00 Pacific Coast time and I'm looking where the rest of the United States is roasting, then I turned to my left and looked at the 1.5" thick winter comforter and was wondering what planet I was living on!

Its 55 degrees F here just south of Seattle by 50 miles and I'm freezing,,,and its not quite the middle of July? Huh. Now aint that a peach eh?

*laughs* Sorry Tom, but G-d is blessing me with the coolness as I recover from surgery. *Drily said- pun intentional* I'm sure next year when if I'm allowed to drive or ride from Seattle, WA to Duluth, MI without air conditioning I'm sure I'll be roasting like a pig on a spit in August.

Some pain is good. Pain lets us know where alive. Its when we don't feel pain is when we're either dead or unconscious.

Hot and a bit "sticky" here. We had one cooler day, but back to the warmth. I praise God that this new home is cooler than the last one.
