Today is extremes - 76F / 24C for a high and low tonight in the 20's. We are still in drought conditions and praying for rain. We have a 30% chance of rain later this week.

Home, Villa Park, Illinois: 31F right now, headed to 38F. Cloudy with possible snow flurries this morning.

I just got a report a few minutes ago that says I dodged a bullet. As you know if you read my last posts here, I had a trip to Mt. Sterling, KY the last couple of days. Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky got snow, but I never saw more than about six inches before the storm blew itself out and headed East. They could have sent me to St. Louis, MO, and in that case-----

Springfield, Illinois got 17 inches of snow. Interstate 55 passes through Springfield. 17 inches??? Somebody's not going anywhere.

It might be trying to turn Spring here. Today the high is 74F / 23C and tomorrow it's supposed to get up to 80F. We are still in drought conditions and praying for rain. We do have a chance of rain over the next several days.
