CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There seems to be more cloud on the North Atlantic weather maps now. Does it mean that we northern hemisphere residents are going to have a break from the heatwaves which have dogged us? This evening was probably the second out of several weeks when I have not had to water the plants, which is very unusual in the UK. Temps have dropped and I'm actually feeling a bit cold.

It's 84F today in Central Oklahoma. We have a good chance for rain every day for the next 7 days and we give thanks. One day has a 90% chance of substantial rain, and we need it.

In my little corner of the world we are having a foretaste of Spring (22C - 72F) but the winter rains will return tomorrow ... so I intend to soak up some vitamin D reading a book on my front porch this afternoon.

Keep the firefighters in your prayers too. They're tired and could use a few hours of gentle rain to give them a much needed rest... and return them back home to their families.

Just wanted to share how in the heat of the day while working God sent a band of dark clouds to give me shade and some cool wind. No rain but very pleasant change from the 90+ days we have had.

Our high today was 93F, and it's currently 86F. It was late, but we got our big rains last night, including some areas that flooded. I give thanks that nobody was hurt. Thank you Lord.

In NW UK it has rained a fair amount, but I doubt that it has made up for the weeks of drought yet. Today has been mild with cloud but I've not seen any rain. That's due tomorrow.

It's raining here right now and the forecast calls for 3 to 5 inches. Our recent rains were 5 inches in many areas - 3 inches in others. I really don't know what we got in Edmond, but it was a lot. Thanks for the prayers. I'd like to hear on the news that our public water supply is good and adequate.
