  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's 47F here in Central Oklahoma at nearly 9 PM. We have 60s and 70s on forecast for the next several days. Brother Dave, we'd love to have some of your rain.

It was 76F earlier today, but it's 67F here at 9:40 PM. The wind is 20 mph, and we have wild fires in several places, thankfully not near us. It's terribly dry here and we are in the fire watch area.

Nice weather at end of the week, 50's and upper 40's. Tomorrow temp. to be upper 40's; cooler temps. in northern part of the state and warmer temps. in the southern part, with rain parts of the day. The first part of the week there was 10 or 11 inches of snow one day; temp. warmed that day and most of the snow melted. Spring season starts next week.
