No. That's not how it works. It is quite possible that none are immune and they all die (as is most likely the case as weed killer is deadly stuff).

However, if one is already immune it will not die and it will spread until the killzone is populated with plants who will have inherited the immunity.

The same thing happens with antibiotics. If one stops taking the antibiotics until the infection is destroyed the ones not yet destroyed (who by definition had resistance to the antibiotic) will spread and will be more resistant to the next course of antibiotics. Each time the course is not completed the more resistance bacteria carry on until the resistance is to stiff for the anti biotic.

Thus individuals do not evolve: populations evolve.

That is a subjective recognition.

We are asking for objective evidence.

Subjective is something that can not be seen by all. Design is seen by all trained and educated biologists that make that claim. No biologist that I am aware of claims that they don't observe design in living things. That means that they objectively observe it. No biologist that I am aware of claims they don't observe this design.

Despicable is an adjective that some feel represents Dawkins. I find his remarks about Christians and religion despicable as well. Christians are told they are gullible all the time so I don't think you can cry foul there. Blind will follow the blind is a similar accusation encountered by Christians here all the time.

The mutation that leads to resistance is part of ToE and leads to change in heritable traits of biological populations over successive generations.

Another example of a novel trait is nylon eating bacteria.

There is scientific consensus that the capacity to synthesize nylonase most probably developed as a single-step mutation that survived because it improved the fitness of the bacteria possessing the mutation. More importantly: The enzyme involved has been produced by a mutation completely randomizing the original gene. Despite this, the new gene still had a novel, albeit weak, catalytic capacity. This is seen as a good example of how mutations easily can provide the raw material for evolution by natural selection.
