^^^ Gotta love Mogwai.
Truths Arise by Red Sparowes. (Just bought their new album today.)
Haha, absolutely. How's the new album? I only own Red Sparowes' "Aphorisms" EP.
For sure.
It's amazing. I just picked it up on impulse at the store, I hadn't listened to any of it yet, I just new I had liked there past stuff, so I'd like this too, and it's incredible.
That's a good EP for sure... I don't own it though. :/ lol.
I got The Fear Is Excruciating, But Therein Lies The Answer. It's incredible.
Woah, it sounds amazing. I'll have to listen to it on Grooveshark. Some of my favorite albums I've bought purely on impulse; it's like a little gift for your future self. Gotta love post rock; absolutely nothing as beautiful or underrated.
That's for sure. I can't get enough of it, it's too bad most people don't seem to like it.
I think that because the genre isnt centered around lyrics or repeating choruses they find it kind of 'boring.' One group summed it up in an interview and I think they hit the nail on the head. They said that right now in the world everything is instant gratification, especially music. Most songs are crammed into 2-4 minutes. But with post rock or ambient it's a longer, more gradual process, and it takes time and patience, but its well worth it. Most people just don't want to devote the time, or find it boring. Listening to music is kind of a dying art I guess. But I've noticed Explosions in the Sky is getting more popular among people, so hopefully that will all change to some extent.
Here's the link to that interivew if you want to hear it said a whole lot better haha: The Endless Sky
Don't Stop Believing - Journey
A couple years ago the seniors chose this as their song to sing for graduation, and one of the kids who was graduating, and his family, have a band and they played the song. Right when I got home I bought it, and I really think I could listen to it over and over and never stop liking it. I don't know what it is about that song, but I just love it.
P.S. I feel like even if I were in the deepest, darkest, lonliest place on earth, and I watched this video, it would make me happy, maybe it's the amazing sense of fasion
