18They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more. Ephesians 4:18-19

If you could take a pill that stopped you from committing homosexual acts or any other sin, would you take it?

At this point in your life, it wouldn't have been for nothing as you have had plenty of time to sin. ;)

However, nothing in your OP indicates this is part of the condition.

Besides, one of the purposes of salvation is to produce men and women of character, people who exhibit the virues that Paul calls the fruit of the Spirit. A "pill" that "stopped you from committing ... sin" would not allow those virtues to be exercised or to grow.

If such a pill were developed, it would destroy free will and would be counter to God's plan.

If I'm talking to the people who are here right now, is that not the implication?

To whom did you think I was asking the question ?

 It was a hypothetical question.

If such a pill were developed, it would destroy free will and would be counter to God's plan.

It would do no such thing unless someone forced you to take it.

But enough of this discussion.

This afternoon I have to baptize three babies, then take a 14 year old girl over to New Mexico so she can have an abortion; then I'm marrying a gay couple who have been living together for 40 years, and this evening I'm getting together with some Democrats and some liberals over a pitcher of margaritas so we can plot how to hand the United States over to Al Queda and the terrists and to remove all the Bibles from every house in America; and then I have symphony tickets for 8 pm so I've got a full day ahead.

Toodles!
