  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think the best thing to do all summer is to do lot's of stuff. Last summer was very eventful for me. First I went to california on tour with my school (for band and choir and the jazz band and vocal jazz). That was loads of fun. Then I went to my aunts wedding where I got to see my cousins (we're really close even though they live kinda far away). Then to top it all off I went to Texas with my church for a youth convention (Nazarene Youth Conference). That was an experience to remember.

I have a feeling that this summer all I'm going to do is work and go to school. I may not get to see my cousins  . But I'm going to see if I can go there for a weekend or something.

1 Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

In 6th grade I took some kind of oath involving that verse..Timothy 4:12.

I know it's already been said, but I have the urge to say it again. "Do not let them look down on you because you are young but set an example for the believers in life..." Dang..I don't remember the rest. I know it, but not in order. Pfffffft! ;)
