1. Drunkenness, this can cause early death and catastrophe
2. Gluttony, this causes long term negative effects on the body and early death
3. witchcraft, God speaks very strongly against any witchcraft. There are accounts of those who practice it having severe mental health struggles maybe there is a link
4. Fornication, consequences can be a STD or an unplanned pregnancy
5. Leaving the faith (To those who believe this is possible)
Yes, there are things God calls sin, for our own good. Because they can be harmful; God does not have them on some list for no real reason.
But there are more sneaky sins, which are not so obviously harmful; yet, they have wrecked marriages and even could help to bring down the United States.
I mean things which have not been well identified in church messages and confronted publicly.
Even while certain sins have gotten so much attention, there are the sneaky sins which have escaped attention, while all along they have helped to produce the things we see today getting so much attention. "They did not cause themselves."
Consider Philippians 2:13-16 > here we have >
"Do all things without complaining and disputing," (Philippians 2:14)
Arguing and complaining can ruin a relationship. And while we keep giving in to complaining, we are staying deeply weak so we are able to fall into other stuff.
Note in Romans 1:18-32 > it says people were not "thankful", in verse 21; ones not thankful got into more and more degradation until God gave them over to lusts which turned them into homosexuals. It started with not being thankful to God.
And children brought up with the bad example of arguing and complaining can miss out on having a sound example of how to relate in a close relationship. Then, in desperation for some sort of attention and affection, kids can go to peers who also have not had sound role models of how to share and care as family. And blind peers can take other blind peers into the ditch of all the mess we see today.
The bad example of arguing and complaining has even been happening in supposedly Christian families. Parents might go along with church culture. But at home their kids see how it is not working for their parents. And they then get into the stuff which church culture can be fighting politically, right while many church parents provide the bad example, at home, which has helped to produce the addicts and porn-hooked men and gays and others who get such public attention.
If we do not like the product, we need to stop our sneaky sinning which is helping to produce the product!!
Ones who have brought up children with a bad example can be crying out against what their bad example has helped to produce!!
Beauty discrimination is another factory assembly line worker which helps produce the more openly criticized end-product sin problems.
God is no respecter of persons. So, we directly go against God, by favoring more beautiful women for marriage and "love" and professional advancement. And this discrimination can help to feed bullies to pick on children who are less popular because of not being so beautiful. Plus, if children feel unaccepted and less loved because they are less cute, they can deeply suffer . . . though they should be brought up to be wise to this and love those who do not know how to love them > be their example so kids who do not know how to love can be helped by the example even of ones they do not love.
And if men are brought up to love all people, without discrimination, they are less able to give in to seeking to see the sorts of beauty shown in porn. Instead, they can love and care about all women, including women being exploited in movies and advertising and porn.
And gays likewise can tend to favor the more beautiful and handsome ones, and their weakness for outward vanity can help make them stay weak for the lusts of their pleasure-styles. Their real preference is not sexual, because it is not a way of reproduction, but a preference for pleasure. And their pleasure seeking can be helped by their seeking of outward beauty.
Beauty discrimination is so established, that there are "pageants" . . . which can help to train men to be foolish for what is outward, instead of first being strong in character of God's all-loving love.
"if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" (in Matthew 5:46)
So, these are three sin problems hiding in plain sight in family relating and church relating and political business. But we can tend to fight and criticize the products, instead of being good examples by not doing what has been helping to produce the results we see now. And God will bring His results of our all-loving prayer with good example.
