  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thinking of quitting YouTube.. My husband made a comment today about "I don't know why anybody would want to watch your channel." If he can't even stand watching me, why should I bother continuing?

Well I can think of at least 776 subscribers you have that want to.and a bull is one as well.

Some times our spouses are used to test our resolve.

Whether their words/actions are of intent to harm out of the foolishness of flesh (being petty wanting to hurt out of anger) or the innocence of ignorance (Hurting by careless words but without malice)

IF you love your channel, do it because you love it. I'm sure that the first person to stream themselves playing video games were met with the same comments. Same with people that whisper into microphones which is now a huge part of youtube with ASMR.

Your husband may have hurt you but he may not have meant it to be hurtful (being he is your husband I'm going to lean not meaning to be hurtful) ... do what it is you love as long as it doesnt violate a command/conviction from God.

You have at least 700 people in this world so far that DO want to watch you and support your choice to be on.

Not to mention those that gain wisdom and maybe someone to turn to that has the same condition as you with your wrist so they dont feel so overwhelmed and alone.

Hey, I'm really sorry he said that. Did he offer any clarification about what he meant?

If I can offer anything else, it's this: your channel isn't for him, or isn't about him - it's yours. I know a bunch of your vids you've shared your guys story - and it's been awesome. You do stuff with clothes, makeup, cosplay, and a bunch of things - and it's cool. People watch some more than others, but people watch. But this is your thing - it's something you're passionate about, and love doing. Keep at it.

I'm fairly certain my wife doesn't listen to my podcast or read my posts when I write them - but she encourages me none the less. At one point, this got me down - but especially with the website - when I started writing more with the "who knows - if anyone - whose reading", I found it a bit more freeing.
Some days I get down about the podcast - but it's something I love doing - and it's something I'm gonna keep at until I either can't afford to keep it going or hate doing it. If you choose to stop doing youtube, I hope it's cause you'd rather do something else and not just cause you're discouraged. Personally, I hope you keep going homie.

Had an argument yesterday with my husband, and we are over it now. He apologized, and it's not the end of the world, but there are times I wonder if I was only meant for dating. I love my husband in all ways, he's an awesome man, it's really more my own inability to deal with conflict and disagreements. I just tend to avoid them, but sometimes, that's not possible.

I feel the exact same way. I hate conflict. It makes my stomach ache. Avoiding conflict in marriage is difficult. My hubby and I had a few disagreements when we first got married over silly stuff. Im learning to be less sensitive. It's not always easy because I'm naturally sensitive.

our first argument remember so well
told him he was bossing me around and that I wasn't one of his employees, lol

learned HE doesn't like conflict as he left house, went and bought me some m&ms as a peace offering
we rarely fight as he won't engage; he likes to keep peace

We are good today. He has some things to work on. lol We are all works in progress but this is on him.
