I've been inactive from here a fair bit recently, the wife and I have had a lot going on - prayers would be appreciated. (We're doing great relationally, life has just been...not so great though).

Thanks for the prayers friends! Here is the jist of whats been going on:

My wifes depression returned eabout three months ago, but thankfully the medication has helped. I've been having some ongoing health issues with my stomach. A couple of weeks ago my own mild depression flared up. This past tuesday my wife had surgery to get her tonsils removed. And on last week friday she was let go because her company will be going under.

It's just been a lot.

We also haven't been to church in way too long (but are still connected and involved through our small group)(no idea why I'm mentioning this, but please pray about it too if you can.

I'm sorry if this is coming off as "woe is us", as that is not at all my intent or desire. There's just legit been a lot going on.

I hope and pray things are going well with you awesome peeps.

Oh, wow, I'm so sorry things have been so tough.
God's got this! You may be in the middle of something really hard, but God is in the little details of life. Keep your eyes on him and trust that he will bring you through it stronger than ever.
I never thought my first year of marriage would be so challenging...so many unexpected things have happened to us but God had upheld us in such an incredible way. I feel like every day my husband and I grow closer, despite everything that tries to tear us apart. I keep focussing on the positive so that the negative doesn't drag me down.
Not many couples learn about parenting hand on in their first year of marriage...my husband and I have already come up with a philosophy for parenting and child-rearing...we've had the talks and fought the battles. Hopefully, in a few years when we decide to start our own family, all this knowledge will make us great parents.
We've had so much upheaval and experience doing a balancing act between schools and careers and for me homeschooling on top of it all...it's been a crazy rollercoaster since we married.
Most days I feel like I'm going to lose my mind but then I remember, God is in the details...he's upholding me when I don't have the strength and energy to do it myself.

Keep your chin up, keep your eyes on God, keep trusting and praying.

spend lots of time with husband now as once baby comes, there's little alone time with husband
but there is lots of family time

We will be singing “What Child is This.” Both of us are out of practice with singing and husband doesn’t know his part, so it’s a challenge to get it ready. Plus I’m singing in front of people I have never sung for, so there’s nerves.

they did say to practice but also said to remember the people watching are in your corner

Omm: have my consult today for the tattoo I've wanted for about 9 years and have been too scared to get. Nervous but excited!!

Just feeling excited in general for some big upcoming changes. Going back to keto, revamping my channel with a new camera and some fresh ideas, planning some big trips... Life is new again.
