I was feeling some anxiety and fear throughout work last night and for the first couple of hours after leaving this morning, it was true, due to various uncertain circumstances. And while I do not feel anxiety over those things now, I wonder if that's what sort of prompted this strange chilliness/feverishness now. Thankfully my temp says I have no fever. So I'm not terribly worried about Covid yet.

Thanks for everyone's already praying about this, by the way. May I ask, that you please also pray that this doesn't cause any present or future trouble with work, especially my coworkers themselves. With people in and out in the lab so many times already due to suspicion of having or having contacted someone with Covid, I have already seen some temperaments on edge due to the inconvenience and uneasiness that kind of naturally comes with this kind of situation, especially with having to cover those who are out. And now that I've called in, well .... Although I was never out for two weeks straight due to quarantine, the fact that only a few months have passed since I last felt obligated to call into work sick for a day, makes me a bit afraid that doing so again (and I really do feel it is best to have done so tonight because of the general worries and precautions we're all having because of Covid, even if it turned out that I don't have a fever) this soon might have others looking down on me, like wondering if I'm just playing hookey or something, you know? Three times calling in sick for one day in 2.5 years of employment isn't that bad, I guess, especially in comparison to two or three other people in the lab that have been a lot more notorious for calling in a lot, but still, I don't want to inconvenience anyone or have them thinking of me as not actually being as hard a worker as I have always led on up to this point.

This past year I've found myself genuinely caring less what people think about me. Come to the realization that I don't need other people.

So I was feeling a bit ill today, and asked my manager if I should go home. She left it up to me, so I called my mom for advice. I then went to check my temperature (after telling her I would leave, which she seemed annoyed about). I checked it twice and I believe it said 79.9 then 98.0.

I decided to stay because we’re short handed, and I came back, which she seemed annoyed about again (understandably, because she had just reassigned everyone). I have 3 hours worth of chemicals, so I set to work, and finished one pallet (there are 3). On my way to lunch, my coworker asked if I was in chemicals, to which I said yes. He said I need to get going on it, and I said I’d already worked a pallet, but he told me that my manager said I’d barely done anything.

I’m sure she’s just stressed out, so I ask that you pray that God would help me to be gracious to her. Thank you.

Seems like you all are dealing with and/or considering the perception of others.

One cares too much

One doesn't care enough (perhaps)

And one got it just right and appealed to His perception (The Best and True) of the situation!

So my prayer is that we will all have His View of others and ourselves, so that we may forgive and be forgiven. Amen.

One got it just right might be subjective..

I'm a man who thinks for himself.. not caring for others gives me an important boost in the regard. I don't think it's right for everyone.

Oh yeah, that whole "boundaries" thing flooded the churches not too long ago.

I've been wanting to check into the origins of it, which I tentatively believe to be the synthesis of psychology and theology...into some psychobiblicalbabble...stuff...

Basically, if anybody gives any slight inkling of being sick (not perfect), then the most pertinent thing to do is social distance...Immediately, lest you catch their cooties!!!

Okay, to be fair, I never studied these teachings in depth.

I'm sure they present many seeming appropriate verses to back up their curriculum.

I am not sure I understand what you're saying.. but what I think I can get from it.. I can't relate to those people at all. I like to challenge people with idea unlike myself.
