Lol.. you're a man with unusual tastes..
Wait...what...?
What do you think I'm talking about?
Taste?
As in what I'm attracted to...like as far as eye candy?
I was more talking about that fact that you're not statistically average in your tastes in women and that feminists shouldn't get too excited. Lol.
What's my taste in women?
Well you still might have a diverse taste.. but you finding Ellen attractive is not the norm for men.
Yeah...no.
I didn't say Ellen was attractive.
Then what or who were you talking about in post number 14767?
She's pretty, but too skinny.
Just what it says.
She's pretty. My Mom's pretty. My sister's pretty.
Taste and attraction are different wavelengths my man.
Honestly I doubt they're so different.
Well, then you're on a whole other spectrum.
Oh, I think I get it...you can't taste or smell...is there a connection there?
Spectrum of what? I'm trying to be honest with human psychology. I do not think the human brain is that rigid. It more deal with layers. While there are good evolutionarily reasons to find disgust in finding family members attractive, the brain is still going to in some sense find attractive people appealing regardless.
Not to mention Ellen page isn't even your family, and pointing you find her pretty was unwarranted and out of the blue.
Have you ever had the experience of becoming attracted to somebody who most people, because of the media or culture, would consider visually unappealing or even ugly?
Not sure really.. I'd probably say no. When it comes to attraction.. I can see pretty predictable evolutionary reasons for it.
Well if you did have this experience, how would it fit in to the framework in your post #14782?
I don't see it as a threat. Some men find 100 year old women attractive.. they're not going to be very reproductively successful though.. so it stands to reason that most men have come from a lineage of men finding women around 22 the most attractive when women are at their most fertile. The random genetic mutations that will occur isn't of any surprise.
The idea that men need to find Madonna attractive and alluring at 60 or they're sexist influenced by the patriarchy is laughable though. Like that one guy she #metoo'ed at an award show faced when he had to pretend that his disgusted look when she kissed him was for other reasons.. lol.
Wait, so evolutionary theory is at odds with feminism?
For the most part, yes.. what they say.. how they behave.. it makes sense under an evolutionarily lens.
What who says, the feminists?
So, you believe that they are trying to be the fittest?
What is their end game?
I'll continue this discussion tomorrow. Too tired to get into it now in any depth.
