My 7-year-old niece broke her wrist playing on the slide. That girl is crazy. She's the super ninja fearless one who will jump off anything. Even now with a cast she still wants to play soccer lol. Please pray for quick healing.

Oddly, I wasn't doing that bad all this time at work those last 9 of ~13 days, right up until the last hour of last night. And then it just hit me like a ton of bricks. Luckily in one more hour my shift relief was there to rescue me. After walking around doing what little bit of work thankfully remained in a slower-paced fashion that last hour or so, by 4:50 AM (shift change is at 5) I just gave up trying to do any more work completely and slumped down in my desk chair ... right as the shift relief walked in and said, "man, you and Natalya have been here quite a bit in the past month. Sucks for you, but at least it meant I had the pleasure of not seeing my normal shift relief for a while because one of you two would be there instead. So, thanks for that. Now get on home. =P "

She holds a special place in my heart, I do not deny that. Our friendship did, after all, begin about six years ago with her reaching out to me out of the blue via pm to encourage me about a struggle I was dealing with and revealed to everyone in the WYOM thread at the time, even calling me a "brave knight". ^-^ A bit difficult for me not to feel some level of attachment to such a person in that case, I'm sure you understand. But I think that even in my idealism when it comes to love, it can only be a long while before I come to feel the same type and intensity of fondness for any lady the way I did for Erin, again.

Somber is exceedingly kind and sweet not just to myself but everyone else in this community. it is only natural we would all want her to stay around. ^-^

Also, I remember saying a few weeks ago with some sarcasm, during that time I had to do seven nights in a row spontaneously thanks to someone "jamming her thumb", that I ought to be allowed out of work for a while too since I banged my knee against something hard enough to leave lasting pain.

.... It actually has still been hurting on and off ever since. Right now it's in "mild annoyance" pain mode. I just know karma will come back to me in a bad way if I actually try to get out of work due to it, though. But I understand if it would, though; I mean, who wants to be called in for a twelve-hour shift due to someone being out - especially over a relatively trivial thing - on your precious few days off? It's not like you get that time back.

Thankful it is getting warm enough to run in the morning. Ran 8km this morning. The sky was beautiful, purple and pink and big clouds.
Work of art! I feel more close to Him any time I am outside in nature.

Our local mountain biking community is awesome. I forgot my front wheel at the trail, and because I left my bike in the car. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that it was missing until a week later. Although it was in the middle of the night when I became aware of this, I headed to the trail to see if I could find it. Considering how much time had passed, however, I expected that somebody else probably took it. Either that, or it had been run over by a car or rolled into the woods somewhere. I was already thinking about where I would get a new set of wheels and tires. Long story short, somebody had propped it against an air pump by the trailhead. Other than being a little dirty and covered with spider webs, it was in great shape.
