I see. Extreme measures for an extreme change. That makes sense. I thought you were just throwing all video games away just because you're 41 & society's telling you to grow up. I thought that was a silly reason.It's not drastic at all. It's more like this.

I have for many years lived in a very worldy fashion. I have come to the point where it does not give me the satisfaction it once did. I still have my comics and anime to go through. The plan is to get that out the door too.
I am letting go of that life to prepare myself for the life I want to live. Wich is a more traditional life down the line with wife and kids, God willing. Then there are also more practical skills I want to attain like a drivers license , a hunting permit. Then after that, get a car, a rifle. Also a house with some land, grow my own crops, I want to live of the land and count my blessings. Essentially live a simple God fearing life.
Sitting on a couch, reading comics, watching anime and playing videos games. I did that as a kid and as a teenager and my youth. I'm 41 now. It's time for me to get off that couch.

I haven't actually seen her since high school, so I didn't really know what I was getting into. Thankfully, age, a failed marriage, a child, and a new found faith has done wonders. She's got a certain confidence about her and a level of emotional intelligence that I really dig. (She understands me better than I initially thought, including my need for independence.)
We went back to hers, had coffee (both respecting each others boundaries at this stage) and caught each other up over the last 15 years. She seems really keen to make this a regular thing, and I'm surprised at myself for how docile I feel about that. In the past I've panicked at this stage and run a mile screaming "I happy and content on my own, I want to be single" - no, none of that.
It's always impossible to tell at this stage where things will go. And to be honest, I'm not stressing about that - she hasn't given me a reason to. She'll do what's right for her, and likewise, I'll do what's right for me.
Funny though, how it's been 15 years and she looks a day older. Me on the other hand? Well...

That's never easy!!! You're doing the right thing I think. Sending hugs!Everyone, I ask for your prayers for myself and a couple that I know. Please pray for them to find their way; as it is a demanding society sometimes and we unfortunately have to have so much money in order to live comfortably within it. And as for myself, I have finally turned down helping them for once, as I have found myself feeling resentful as of late about having to do so. And that isn't right, for the Lord clearly desires for us to give freely and cheerfully.
I hope you're meaning figuratively because that'd be a big bump!!!!So tired that I dozed off and fell out of a three-story window and bonked my head.
