Speaking of church game nights, my pastor (who also plays Dominion) brought out Monopoly and had the game won in half an hour;
He was quick to grab monopolies and put houses and hotels up. Everyone else went bankrupt pretty quickly, and/or had to sell him our properties which exacerbated the issue.but...how...

It was quite something. I had no idea a game could finish that quickly.
It seems like there was something with the money... it wasn't additional at startup, but something to do with the Free Parking. Luxury Tax (et al) may have been added to it instead of paid to the bank... I can't remember precisely.Did you guys start out with a lot more money than normal or something?
I'm jealous. :oSpeaking of church game nights

That's not Dutch. Never heard from that game but it sounds fun. Oh I see it's German.Probably. My area has a lot of Dutch families, and they all excel at this game. This is the name I was told when I learned the game. The little Dutch girls on the cards are kind of cute.

Oh, yes, that's right, and he also landed on free parking two or three times.

Oh, funny. I never heard of the game and didn't know you had Dutch communities there, but you can get it here too since 2010.It's German? I was sure it was a Dutch game (not just from the name) because all the Dutch kids/young adults in my area love to play it and are really good at it.

Oh that's nice. I have a niece who lives in Toronto and another lives somewhere there in the neighbourhood. I've been to the Niagara Falls. That was awesome and now that you say it, I remember they had real small houses when you drove to the Falls. We stayed with a Dutch older couple who emigrated to Canada years ago, but they couldn't even speak it anymore. The woman could still understand me.My area has a very large Dutch community and a lot of greenhouses and such. You should visit Niagara, you'd be right at homeWe even have these really ugly windmills that the government thinks is a good source of energy Perhaps Canadian Dutch families have slightly different traditions than you do in Holland. It's the same with Italians living in U.S./Canada. I noticed quite a difference when I was in Italy.
Niagara Falls is more Italian, but the surrounding small rural towns are definitely more Dutch. I've had a few people ask me if I'm Dutch (I guess the blonde hair?). I always laugh and think, do you not notice how short I am?

Yes they're giants here. I'm small, but my sister is tall and those young girls in school, they're just 1 or 2 heads bigger than my sons.
