  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I dont think its just my opinion. I find on this forum heaps pf people eager to find out more from the bible. They are christian, and they want to know more and get into good bible reading habits, thats what im trying to encourage.


Otherwise they wouldnt be here...or they would label themselves atheists. I only know a few that just constantly post that represnt themselves deceitfully and have no interest in reading it. But then I ignore a lot of those trolls. Ive learned to, cos othwrwise its like casting pearls before swine.

You cant call someone a christian who obviously isnt in practise so I just kind of treat these sorts of people as unbelievers who may have been raised in church but actually dont know the Lord.

Hey, guys. I just got an update from my friends on this and apparentlyDavid Steingas has taken a few steps backwards in his progress as of late. They said his body temp and blood pressure are okay, but apparently the doctors are having to worry about him developing pneumonia now, so please continue to pray for David to get out of this. ... I don't know; I just feel particularly bad for him because this major accident is already on top of being canned from Norit like a tuna after his years of service there as a good lab manager (one of my friends who still works there, Doug, said that he noticed David actually crying a little as he was forced out that day, so I guess that's what makes me feel really bad for him; obviously David's work was really important to him, and Doug and the others said it was literally just a massive layoff where Norit's owners came up and led people out of their offices, no apologetic tactfulness, just a "get out". I personally think layoffs are usually just a heartless and unnecessary thing to do, but for other people's selfishness ....). So, yeah, please keep remembering to pray for he and his family who are suffering through this with him until I come back with better news.
