  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

anyway as christians we should all be encouraging and building each other up in the faith and testifying. I don't know why some people think its a good idea to let the foxes eat away at their belief. If it were me and I was mod on this forum..I would tell those atheists they just being rude. Who do they think they are anyway?

Then again, this isn't a Christian Forum site. I sincerely think the name should be changed due to the fact that there are non-Christians here.

I do get your meaning @Goodbook . What is a simple belief to us - even as far as living proof - must be far more complex to that of an unbeliever. The concept of God is, even from what we know and believe, is incomprehensible to our simple minds.

@Swan7 - I get where you're coming from, but at the same time I don't think turning atheists away is something we should do either. For people with questions or even just preconceived notions about Christianity, we can be a resource to sort of break through the negative stigmas the world gives Christianity today.

I'm glad you don't want to kick us all away.

In case you didn't know, there are many areas in CF which are for Christians only and us sons and daughters of Philistines can't post there. You can see which ones are Christian-only in the main list of sub-forums.

btw. last time I went to a Christian church, they didn't rename the church because I was there

My fault, I didn't read carefully enough cause I was in a hurry, was also up really late last night cause of my mom and dad both having anxiety, and I hadn't had any coffee yet. Safe to say I was not firing on all cylinders at the time
