  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The last time I quit I went for about a year.

So far its been about two weeks since I had my last real cig.

Im still getting nicotine through the patch..... so Ive really only worked so far at breaking the habit, not so much at breaking the chemical addiction.

I get annoyed when athiests gatecrash threads.
I mean its not as if any of us christians are going to lose faith because of their opinions. But when post scripture and our own opinions, they hate us for them. I'm like, why are you even wasting your time? lol.

athiests are codependent on christians to rail against I reckon.

Well, depending, if you worked a shift schedule like I did, the Monday of your week would actually be like most people's Fridays. On my schedule at Norit back then, I'd work Thursday through Sunday night, four 12-hour shifts (usually alone to manage the entire lab), and then have 72 hours off starting Monday morning, so ... counting down to Monday was a good thing for me.

Why not learn Wushu and his other styles and be the first ReesesPiece23 instead?

I think Jet Li is awesome, but Id MUCH rather learn something like Capoeira over what equates into Chinese ballet (Even though it IS cool). Better yet Id like to learn Capoeira and just about any other martial art and blend the two.

Really? Who does a christian trust more.God the creator of the universe, or an atheists opinion and someone who couldnt create a living universe even if he had all the resources to do it, because they would end up dying before it was even completed.

Christians can be at all stages in their walk with Christ. Something someone says might make sense to them in that point of their life and might lead them astray. It depends on the person, situation and their walk with Christ. It's not always black and white, what seems like a simple thing to you and I, it's not like that many others.
