  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I hate copyright laws sometimes. I have to do this PP presentation for homework, and the images that I want most for the subject I'm talking about are still under copyright after more than 40 years. Public domain pictures in general aren't difficult to find, but the exact photos I'm really wanting are copyrighted, and it's frustrating.

Thank y'all.

Ive quit before but Im always a fool and go back to them some how falling for my own foolish belief "Just one wont get me hooked again".

Hopefully this time I will be smart enough to avoid them completely and forever..... they ARE my crutch and how I have always coped with..... pretty much anything so.... being a non smoker then getting angered or stressed.... its all I know.... so I reach for one.

I think I need to get a punching bag to hang in the "gym" and pray that I can hold in my anger and frustrations of the day to let loose on that and NOT reach for a cig.

Of course step one after I am free again.... will be to clean out and dust off the old gym thats been collecting dust since I started up again.

Green Tea is about the only tea I like.

Two weeks without buying a pack so its a good start even if I falter. Of course thats only breaking the smoking part, the nicotine part is still in the patch.

I will probably start a new habit..... like always eating so I have something to do with my hands. Great, its official....... I'm Han from Fast and the Furious....... oh well.... could be worse.

it is because...it is at the church I don't go to anymore, and it seems if you female the onus is on you for cooking and I have no idea what to bring, but then, if you don't bring anything, feel guilty, and I don't like going to parties alone, and just eating and talking.

Is this unchristian of me??? plus my folks wont go cos of the cricket on tv and then the radio show. so if I go, dad will be home by himself and then he won't have much company for dinner. ack.

Yes, for about the hundredth time.

I dont have it in me to go cold turkey again.... it gets harder every time.

So for the past 2 weeks Ive had a patch stuck to my arm.

My grandma quit in May after she told me she had cancer. Turned out to be a false alarm, but she hasn't smoked one since.
