  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

... Ugh, all these last few hours I was reading and lurking about CF on my phone in my room, I had the clock radio playing at a low, background-appropriate volume, and Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies" came on just now ... Kill me.

I mean, I admit it would have been more readily apparent if I had just been allowed to use an apostrophe in order to make Sarah a possessive noun in my user name, but still ....

Is your state not holding elections today? I thought it was pretty much country wide. Or are you saying you don't like any of the candidates? Well, if the choice is between satan and satan you can't really vote for either. It puts the voter in a hard spot.

Sarah is an ideal, a "princess" who may or may not be real and waiting for me somewhere down the road in my life, for me to take her hand and kindly ask her to come with me the rest of the way on my life's journey.
