Actually I think that pretty much explains why I was such an avid fan as a teenager, back when I first discovered it. It seemed like such an underground kind of culture at the time that I guess it gave me a sense of being a rebel by knowing of it and watching it that much. Very few people my age talked about it at school and stuff, and VHS tapes for 60 minutes worth of 90's anime would only be available on a small shelf in front of the register at an EB store for twenty or twenty-five dollars, it seemed. Of course, it also helped that it was a commercial on TV featuring the big-eyed, curvaceous cast of Sailor Moon in mini-skirts throwing magic tiaras and love arrows at Evil that got me started, in my wild, hormonal 12 year-old mind.

And no, I don't hate dogs in general. In fact, I used to love all animals a lot as a child. But I'm more prone to shunning certain dogs and cats now, is all. And Tallulah, my mother's dog, is an annoying drama queen who pretends to be scared of me all the time to get sympathy from her owner. My mother used to have a mutt similar to Tallulah in appearance but much smaller in size named Dutch, who she had for nearly ten years before he died of cancer in 2011. And I loved him to death. He was my four-legged homeboy.
And I also really like Angel, the dachsund who belongs to Miss Sandy, a friend from next door to my mother. And she leaves us to babysit Angel often while she's out of town (over the last few years, even before I actually started living here in Houston with my Mom last week). But because Angel is so sweet and doesn't give me guff, like Talullah does, I actually like taking care of her. Sandy and her husband Rudy will always thank me generously whenever they return for babysitting Angel like I really helped them out of a jam, or like it was inconvenient to me, and I just say, "Hey, it's no trouble for me, because Angel's actually cool ... unlike Tallulah."

Ah, well I can certainly understand that, I wouldn't care for a dog like that either. Though honestly I don't care for small dogs in general. They are fine if owned by others but I have no interest in having an ankle biter for a pet. I love dogs but I'm partial to the bigger breeds/mutts. It sounds as if Talullah needs an attitude adjustment. It's also nice of you to help out Sandy and Rudy. It can be very difficult to find people who are willing to watch a dog when the owner has to be out of town.
Just don't give in to temptation.Well, like I said, Sandy and Rudy's dog Angel is pretty cool (she's actually pretty quiet considering the yapping and ankle biting that dachsunds seem to be pretty notorious for, too).
And tallullah's always been an annoying brat, all the six or seven years I have known her. I just try to stay put of the way when my mother insists on having her out and about. Otherwise, I'd probably be driven to take a belt to her all crazy-like, like Craig and Smokey once did to that annoying kid on the bike in that movie Friday. (A movie which, I believe, Toro posted a gif from just a minute ago in this thread.)
