I had a romantic moment with a nun today. I was walking the town street and these 2 nuns pulled up in their car in front of me. I looked up at one and our eyes met and we smiled to each other from some unknown interest.

Intelligent, intellectually honest discussion is a rare find anymore. So many people formulating their beliefs around feelings rather than truth. Also, I'm not sure there is any single major element of our society that makes people dumber than identity politics and all of the punditry that goes with it. I swear I could take both conservatives and liberals and tear their views to shreds because they are all based on bankrupt, man-made moral ideology. I am highly tempted to intercept that mud that is constantly being slung and throw it right back in the person's face. (This is how I get when I'm in a grumpy mood. On my nice days I would drop the mud and attempt to reason with people.)

I'm learning that it's not always about debunking another's beliefs. What I've found and have been guilty of, is that when I do that I lose my own credibility and come across as hateful. Someone told me not too long ago that when he responds to people, that he answers them and not their questions.
