Music died when Kurt Cobain did.
I think so. Well, then there wouldn't be the Foo Fighters. There's been some innovation, but music today is done by computers and fast beats. Hardly impressive. Not sure about that, lol. What are you saying? That he was the last real innovator?

Not sure about that.. think CG has allowed movies to be made that wasn't possible prior. I agree films are stale, I just think that's due to only having so many stories one can tell.
The state of the music industry today leaves me in tears.I think so. Well, then there wouldn't be the Foo Fighters. There's been some innovation, but music today is done by computers and fast beats. Hardly impressive.
Stories are stale because they lean more on CGI and special effects than an actual story and plot. I mean, there's some plot, but they hope to wow us with graphics that they hope people forget about the boring, predictable plot and that cringeworthy kiss right in the middle of a disaster as if that really matters.
I wonder if there's anyone else who prefers 2D animation in movies over 3D. Honestly, while 3D modeling does sound cool, there's something I really like about illustrated animation. Especially from the 90's and early 2000's.
That's why I'm a little sad to see that 2D animation seems to be dying out.
Speaking of animation, I hate how most modern cartoons on television are done in flash. Makes them look incredibly cheap like card board cut outs.
Aw.It has already died out. The early 2000's was when it was declared that traditional animation in theaters was dead. Disney released a traditionally animated film called The Princess and the Frog in 2009 and they even acknowledged it was a huge risk for that reason alone.
I guess today's generation of kids watching animated films and TV series from our day would be like us watching Saturday morning cartoons from the 1970's.
It's much more efficient than doing it traditionally. According to voice actor Mel Blanc, back during the Golden Age of American cartoons it took a team of 125 animator 9 months to create a 7 minute cartoon. With Flash, you could do that with a single animator in less amount of time.
Aw.I never heard about that somehow. At least there are still some cartoons and anime in 2D, though I don't watch TV much now anyway.
Maybe I prefer 2D because that is what I would do myself, since I have no experience with 3D modeling (though I'd love to try it).
Although depends on the show too.. South Park is still alright with it ironically.. even though the style of that show was intentionally done to look cheap.
Actually the pilot episode of South Park was done through stop motion using cardboard paper so it really was cheaply made. SouthPark was originally created as a college project by Matt Stone and Trey Parker before they decided they want to make a TV show out of it. After the show got the green light to go on air, they then used a piece of software called Autodesk Maya to create each episode. The animation style was so simple that they could create an entire episode in a single day.
