  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think I felt God telling me today that I need to listen more. I need to listen to other people better and understand where they're coming from. Especially political stances. I enjoy a good debate, but all it has resulted in is hurt feelings and/or ended friendships over politics this year. I've had a difficult time trying to differentiate between confidentially displaying my thoughts on certain matters I feel to be right versus being afraid those thoughts would make someone decide to unfriend me. And most of my postings were occasional. Most of my posts are stupid things I find funny

Ok... so been wanting to dye my hair with purple or rose gold highlights, and had almost decided to do it, but the good angel on my shoulder urged me to test first.

Used temporary wet chalk to sample it on my hair. I'd appreciate opinions, as this is not permanent but if I go forward it will be
