  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thats unfortunate. I have no ill will towards the man and even wished him well (The person). Its him at the position of head coach that all my anger rests.... or did anyway. The man himself seemed likeable enough.

Kyle was a decent OC but outside of that I wouldn't want the Shannys anywhere near my team.

Although if you want to keep the Kubiak-esue feel Kyle would likely be the best option.

I don't know what you are going through, though I wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this. It can be so hard sometimes to go on, but I think that is when God's strength can fill us the most, in our weakest moments (2 Corinthians 12:9, Hebrews 11:34). Hang in there! Sending prayers, and hugs.

I think this Sunday I will try out a new church, it's getting a bit tiring not being able to follow my rector's sermons and our young adult group hasn't actually met since May. I basically have no offline fellowship with Christians anymore.
