*sigh* Freestyling takes a ton of talent. Seriously..right now..I want you to freestyle for 5 minutes constantly with no breaks if it has no talent. I can't even do it well and I've practiced for years. Where's your rap album?!And a lot of successful music artists use auto tune..probably some of your favs too..
I think that's called sampling (though someone can correct me) and its not just talking..just like NASCAR is not just "driving in circles" its a LOT more than that..you have to stay on beat, and it has to flow well, etc.
I've seen a lot of rappers that dont do any of that. Some rappers such as Kanye West and 2 Chainz have even graduated college. Google that stuff.
Not all rap is 2Pac, BIG and NWA though! That's my point!! Holy crap!! Ok go to Youtube and listen to I Can by Nas..I found it positive..and I dont think theres a single swear..and what about all the Christian rappers?
I dont think hard rock and metal is about biting heads off of bats..i dont make blanket statements about music genres cause that's just wack. I think too many people write off rap when theres actually some intelligent people that make hip hop.
Well I guess I dont care if people dont like rap..i just dont like it when people say stupid things about music in general. I see a lot of it on Facebook, Reddit and sometimes on here. It really baffles me. I don't think all rock is Marilyn Manson....so not all rap is Soulja Boy....does that make sense?
I regret making my last post now actually. I dont want this to turn into "rap sucks" "nuh uh no it doesnt homeslice" argument lol. But I guess discussion is cool. HIP HOP HOORAY!
As for NASCAR, I like it and am well aware that its more than simply going in circles very fast...... however..... I consider it a "sport" just as much as I consider rap a valid form of "music".
No, its a competition but its not a sport. There is difference between the two.What lol..auto racing is most definitely a sport..it involves competition between race car drivers..
And what about rap music that uses real instruments.. Is that not music? There are even highly regarded musicians and experts that respect rap as music..Paul Freakin' McCartney did a song with Kanye and he probably knows more about music than both of us combined

Well good for them, they also get paid and get their name out there with free publicity to get their name out there again by working with the rap "flavor of the month". (thus boosting sales of their previous albums.) I honestly don't care who genuinely respects or is simply pretending to respect rappers as valid musicians. I think for myself and do not need a musicians seal of approval to like/dislike something.
I try to have faith and keep my focus positive, but sometimes I need a boost. I try not to feel hopeless, but sometimes life circumstances make that hard.
When will I finally move on to something better? I'm ready for everything to change. I want God to answer my prayers and I don't always understand the reason for having to wait so long. I hope I'm not praying for something that will never be. Maybe God will help me and show me what His plans are.
