All of this terrorism is very worrying. It has occurred to me that they're winning, in some sense. We're becoming more afraid, and we're altering our society out of fear that some element of radical Islam will hurt us. I don't like it at all.
My night at work last night: my boss basically told me to get out of his face when I asked what he wanted me working on, so I hadda go ask another manager, and then I went up front to scout my area, they stuck me with a CAP team person who knows literally nothing, and then I had to go back to the backroom for another flat-bed cart, and I got blocked by a bunch of youths who were taking up the entire alley and wouldn't let me pass. Then they started making lewd comments to me.
I finally got past them, and the phone rang as I was walking by, so I stopped to answer it. It was a woman. Prank call. She said a bunch of things I couldn't understand, laughed like an idiot and called me names I could not repeat at work or I'd get fired. Then I got my cart, got back to the front, and a customer with nazi, dagger, and tear drops tats asked for help moving a pool, so I had to grab the flat-bed cart I'd already gotten, and helped him get it to the register. Then he asked me to help him load it into his big white van.............. And that was just the first twenty minutes of an eight hour shift...............

I am pretty sure that'd make for a potentially hilarious reality tv show. Forget The Office!

And the day that follows...... Thing I hate about them, even after they are gone it feels like someone slugged your leg all day.
