I took my new inhaler and slept the day away until a little bit ago. It is crazy to think that I got so complacent with never having to take an inhaler, knowing that I have asthma that gets severe from my allergies and maybe my body got used to the environment of Ohio but I forgot how I used to felt 'after' I would take my inhaler. It did help out. Heck, I finally swallowed my pride while I was at the doctor to get Epipen's for my allergy to tree nuts.

I just now will be taking my meds before bed this weekend to see how I wake up in the morning. I can't be having mornings where I am hacking away, wheezing away anymore. The chest x-rays came back good too so I am feeling a lot better.

Great thing there should be nothing more severe then :) Asthma can be tricky. I had mine diagnosed at 5 years old and used meds regularly for it until the puberty, when it went away completely. After that it's been like 10 years without any sort of trouble except having more severe higher respiratory diseases than most people have, and a couple pneumothoraxes that I think can be traced to the excessive coughing and lower respiratory diseases as a young child.

This spring I had some weirdo breathing problems for a couple weeks that I think could be associated with it though. Ran 6 miles yesterday though so I won't be getting too anxious about stuff unless the symptoms come back again.

I have been fighting this since January to tell you the truth. I haven't been thinking of anything about it. It just has been getting progressively worse. then today was the kicker...the wheezing was worse, the coughing was worse, the tightness was worse. So I pulled over to the side of the road and called in to work. Explains too why I have been having sleeping problems.

Used my allergy medication just a little bit ago and keep that inhaler handy. Have to go to the BMV tomorrow morning and going to test it out by going fishing either tomorrow morning after that or tomorrow evening, or heck both.

Glad I remember my childhood quick fixes. Coffee and air conditioning.

I learned something new recently - watersports are good for those with respiratory issues. Even better if it's saltwater. So keep up fishing and maybe jump in the water from time to time.

I may be closer to the ocean but I don't live there. :p

Actually, I have been thinking about seeing what I could do to do some saltwater fishing. I live far away from the salt lakes now so it may be harder especially with no boat but never know what I can come up with. I see the poles at Bass Pro Shop and the light bulbs get turning on in my head. I mean I already plan on taking two poles for one person fishing in the morning so might as well get ideas to upgrading to more fighting fish that could pull me off the boat(that would be awesome!).

Time to pour me some whine while having some wine and get to my blog and complain about the moronic Indiana governor.

I need to do better at my studies.

Reading Athol Gill at the moment and part of me is excited by the idea of combining a traditional exegetical approach the the scriptures, researching other traditional approaches that aren't as mainstream as the Western approach and mixing that with a more practical approach by observing Gods work in the community, particularly poorer communities (where Christianity is less prevalent) and seeing how that is reflected in Gods Word. Being able to combine all three to reach out to those scripturally in need strikes me as important.

But for the moment, back to study I go.

I'm thinking I'm a little more than done with listening to people who enjoy yammering on and on about politics who have absolutely no desire to either a: shut their traps and finally move to a different state/country/whatever would make them happy or b. shut their yaps and actually do something to help relieve some of the problems they see. Cuz guess what? You're right and you're right... but you're both wrong, too, dummies. So just make an effort to stop seeing "enemies" in each other and see the real enemy for what it is and just be an adult and do what you can. That, or go on and live somewhere else.

I'd been doing so well with regular sleep patterns.
All it takes is one night and they're mucked up again.
Well, several nights.
Then all it takes to disturb my sleep pattern is someone coming home late and being loud.
Or rather several people.
Over several nights.
Never shall I sleep on the ground floor again.

I'm really starting to wonder why everything I try works out as well as jumping on a trampoline full of bear traps.

My piano lessons are going really well. She keeps telling me that I am picking up on everything so fast and that she is going to assign me another book because I am working through this one faster than she expected and she wants to give me more of a challenge. Good news!

Also, it's a boat day kind of weather. I love having people in my life who have a boat. Boat day for the win! Bye everyone!

whats wrong with skinny? The guys I'm attracted to are often skinny guys :p

At the end of the day, when it really comes down to it, if you're not physically fit to stand up for yourself in a fight and survive in the wild, nothing else matters. Not education, not money, or nothing.

And I've tried everything but apparently I can't gain enough body weight to shake off that image.

So much for fishing. Water level is so much higher than I knew. I may have to start looking for other places to fish besides the rive. Like lakes and ponds and stuff like that. This level isn't going down in one night to say the least with the flooding I have seen around here.

I know that people use icons to get a little background on a person making a post. (And I used to think they were fun, but for some reason I currently see them as unnecessary clutter, with the nuisance of trying to categorize me.) Knowing the perspective they come from helps in truly understanding some posts, especially the more serious ones.

However, CF says I'm a legend. If that's true, most CFers don't need icons to know me or where I'm coming from anyway. And newbies (or those who just visit now and then) can just try to read my posts with an open mind until they can establish a personality behind the posts.

I don't need to have a gender icon for people to know I'm female (especially if they have sigs visible). The avatar makes that kind of plain and only tricksy CFers like Noodles can make people confused about gender. :D The faith icon is nice, but no icon can really explain my faith and religious views (maybe I'm not as complicated as I think I am, but I do know that seeing a UMC icon doesn't truly show people what I all believe faith-wise).

I was having fun with the Sierra Leone flag, but I am in a much colder place in actuality. The flag I'd like to show (despite the people currently running this state) is the Wisconsin flag. I feel more like a Wisconsinite than an American. And I didn't previously have a political icon up because there isn't an option for "they all suck."
