Oh some threads are so ridiculous. Why why why do we make so many things about us and our stupid lusts ( and not only talking about sexual lusts, though that's definitely included). When when when will we stop being so consumed with anything and everything else other than our God? And why do we think that anything less will give us what we want and true joy and happiness?

I mean, how long have we gone with anything or anyone other than Him? And how long have we complained?

Oh Lord, please, stir in Your children's hearts! Please bring us to the point of tossing out all else and following hard after You. If our ways haven't yet given us success in any lasting and real way, please just knock it into our heads that it never will. Show us we are only fooling ourselves!
