• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Got your PM, and it looks like a sock. Once banned, they will just keep creating more sock accounts.

I haven't checked in a while... does the site allow PM's from friends only? I think that's probably the only decent solution if you don't want to turn off PM's altogether.
That is just crazy. I think I just might do this.

It would be nice if the site limited PM's to people with a certain post count :\
I think it does?
or atleast it used to, I had a friend join this site and I PMed him right away and he could not respond untill he had 60 posts, or something around 60, I am not sure if I remember the exact number

but that was a while ago, maybe they changed it, or maybe the sock account just had more then 60 posts?

I got a PM and a rep from a sock a while ago. It was rude and degrading. Kinda made me laugh too because of the stupidity of its content.

The sock didn't have a lot of posts and he was able to make those PM and rep comments.

That's not enough apparently. If you've ever searched the post history of a sock account, they usually just play a word game or two to get their post counts up quickly.

It should be raised to like 1000 or more, in my opinion; a count that is usual for someone who isn't up to no good. They probably don't want to block people who want to come here for help or something, but maybe they could overrule the post count restriction for PM'ing staff? I don't know, it's just a thought.
