CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yikes. I guess I can't complain then
Yeah I have moved from Republican to Independent. I didn't vote last time because neither guy would've been a good president. I was all-in on Ron Paul, but the guy most likely to fix the country for the better never wins lol

Ron Paul is just fine, and so is his son Rand, however...though I probably agree on everything they stand for and want to do, I also can recognize that it's too much. Not too much as in 'it's wrong/bad for the country and the people', but too much as in 'the people have not yet been awakened enough to understand'. It's too much for them to take in, and thus the people (a percentage, not everyone of course) only view Ron and Rand Paul as radicals.
I didn't vote in the presidential category last time either. My choice for president then was Herman Cain, and he's my choice for president now. I would love Jeb Bush for VP, buuut...he's all for Common Core and that does not set well with me.

Yeah I agree with you. It would be a huge change that maybe not everyone is ready for. I hope Mike Huckabee runs, but if not, then Cain would be a close second for sure.

As much as I love Huckabee, he's also is very pro-Common Core. I just can't understand it. It's beyond me...

Oh is he :/ I'll have to really do my research on these guys. They all have a flaw or two I'm sure. Hopefully the states do away with common core and it ceases to become an issue lol
