Has anyone else watched something called The Big Bang Theory? It's 2 seasons in now and it's unheard of in the UK, so I don't know how big or popular it is, but it's really quite lovely Recommended muchly.

I've seen it a couple times...it was kinda cute. I don't watch many sitcoms...or much tv at all really...but I liked the few episodes I did see.

You're quite right...back in the day...sitcoms were about all there was to watch...

Now they seem to have gone by the wayside with more and more hour long dramas and reality shows, contest shows like AI, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, Project Runway, The Bachelor, The Nanny, Wife Swap and so on..

oh oh...the one show I do really LOVE...Wipeout! Oh my gosh...ROTF funny! I heard it was part of the Super Bowl this year.

Ya, I think that goes with people needing change. One day reality
might become boring (it is with me in most reality shows - some are
still interesting to watch - I'm not into the stupid pointless soap opera
drama type reality tho. Watching spoiled rotten selfish people go
thru their day: the Kardashians, Hulk Hogans family show, the older Ozzy Osbourne show, that Mafia daughter's show raising her spoiled silly boys.... Real Housewives of.....". etc.)

Even the drama's shift focus - one day we might get out of the CSI
stuff & move into other subjects?
Lots of detective/police stuff on now.

Oh Wipeout is hysterical. It's an almost undoable obstacle course in water and mud...you can't go wrong with silly people trying to get through water and mud...

That SO reminds me of the popular MMX or MXC? Japanese
show they play on the Spike channel. The only bad thing is
that most of it is dubbed w/ sexual inuendo - some of it's hilarious
but some is pretty raunchy.
It's a hilarious obstacle course thing tho.

Right around the 5 minute point they show those stupid
horse races... I used to laugh so hard at those.
